Services - Clinics

Please note that all clinics are by appointment only.

Doctors and Nurse Practitioners

Our Clinicians work to a rota that is subject to frequent change; if you wish to see a particular Doctor or Nurse Practitioner, please ask the Receptionist when you make the appointment and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note that nearly all our staff work part time and the number of pre-bookable appointments with a particular clinician is, unfortunately, limited.

Long-Acting Contraception Clinic

In 2020 North Liverpool PCN launched the first fully integrated inter-practice Long-Acting Contraception clinic for primary care in Liverpool. These clinics became the foundation of the Liverpool Women’s Health Hubs. The Liverpool model for Women’s Health Hubs was the key case study published in the Women’s Health Strategy and has become a flag-ship model for many other areas developing similar services.

At our Women’s Health Hub in North Liverpool PCN we offer implants and coils (for all indications), we are also soon to launch an inter-practice pessary service for patients. The Women’s Health Hub current operates from 2 locations (Jubilee Medical Centre & Langbank Medical Centre). Patients can access these services from any practice within NLPCN by contacting their receptionist (patients are booked into an initial triage telephone call followed by a face to face appointment for the clinical procedure). In the future we hope that the hub will expand to deliver other additional Women’s Health Services ( such as menopause care).

Counselling

The clinical staff can refer you for counselling to "Talk Liverpool" to help with things like bereavement, stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, etc.  You can also self refer to "Talk Liverpool"

Family Planning

The practice will advise on all aspects of family planning and we have recently started fitting coils and implants. The practice nurse is able to do 6 monthly pill checks.

District Nurses

District Nurses are located in Treatment Rooms organised by the Liverpool Community Health.
Doctors will refer patients where necessary.
