Ordering Your Prescription
Prescriptions
Patients on long term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:
- Online - Order online using your online application of choice. Click here for more information on how to order your repeat prescription online.
- In person - hand the right-hand side of your prescription in at the front desk with the items you require ticked. Alternatively, clearly write your name, address, date of birth and the items you are requesting on a sheet of paper and hand it into the surgery.
- By post - post it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
Please note: We are unable to take repeat prescription requests over the telephone except for those patients who are deemed appropriate by their doctor.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions handed in before 11:00am to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Non-Repeat Medication & Acute Items
If an item does not appear on your online ordering screen it is because it is not listed as a current repeat item for you. You may still request such items but please note your request may be rejected at first as we may need to contact you for a review and discuss your request.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be reviewed by a GP, Pharmacist or Practice Nurse. If we need to discuss your medication with you, we will contact you to arrange this.
Changes To Ordering Repeat Medication
The NHS in Liverpool is making a change to how repeat prescriptions can be ordered.
From summer 2018 patients in Liverpool will no longer be able to use a third party, such as a high street or internet pharmacy to order repeat prescriptions on their behalf. Instead patients will need to order repeat prescriptions direct from their GP themselves. Either in person at their practice, via GP online services, or by post.
If you already order repeat prescriptions directly from your GP, you will not be affected by this change and do not need to take any further action.
